Mâcon-Verzé

A slight slope with good drainage, thin to moderately deep, clayey and very calcareous dark brown soils derived from chalky Jurassic limestone.
From the finest terroirs of Verzé, it has a very ‘chalky’ nose. The palate is racy and juicy, with a sensation of perfect ripeness of the grape, which never tips over into heaviness thanks to very fine lemon bitterness. It has the potential of a Premier Cru.
