Half of the soil is made up of Jurassic limestone of varying depths, with clay on top of hard crinoidal limestone. The rest is composed of moderately deep neutral clay soils.
A nose of great complexity, with white flowers (acacia). A distinguished palate, with admirably controlled volume and concentration, while the finish is remarkably persistent. It is regularly reminiscent of the best 1er Crus of Puligny-Montrachet.
