Southern Beaujolais, on the eastern slope of the clay-limestone terroirs near Villefranche-sur-Saône, more suited to Pinot Noir than Gamay.

Songe is strikingly refined for a southern Pinot. The wine is redolent of cherry, violet and pepper. It is velvety, with a freshness that contrasts with the voluptuous flesh.
